Fred has become known for his specialty in the treatment of neck and back pain. His integrated-holistic approach comes from specialized training from two prestigious post-graduate institutes. Fred received extensive instruction from the Postural Restoration Institute (PRI) on biomechanics (joints), myokinematics (muscles), and neuromuscular patterns. The respiratory system and the influence of the diaphragm on the whole body is an integral piece to this holistic approach.
The goal of this approach is to restore three dimensional postural symmetry to allow the body to reciprocate and function better. Fred also studied at the world-renowned Gray Institute and completed their 10 month fellowship program in 2010, earning the title Fellow of Applied Functional Science (FAFS). This distinguished approach combines the biological sciences, physical science, and behavioral science for a combined integrated approach to treating pain and dysfunction. This approach has become most well known for its work in sports performance and athletics. Fred has the ability to consult, analyze, assess, rehabilitate, restore, train and condition individuals of all levels of functional ability.
This fellowship has equipped Fred to be the foremost leader in injury prevention, performance, and rehabilitation in all of sports. He is proud to bring this training and expertise to Northwest Missouri region. In addition, Fred is uniquely qualified and credentialed in treating industrial workplace injuries and provides on-site consulting for ergonomics and work injury prevention. Fred also has a specialty in the biomechanics of the golf swing and trains golfers to swing better, feel better, and score better.
