The Buchanan County Tourism Board (dba St. Joseph Convention and Visitors Bureau) is the driving force behind the region’s thriving tourism industry. Visitor spending in Fiscal Year 2010 is estimated at $148 million. Successful tourism promotion depends on strong partnerships and a concerted effort by all interested parties. The St. Joseph CVB’s marketing efforts are most effective as parts of a united approach that complements the marketing plans and goals of industry businesses, local government, regional tourism partners and the state tourism office.
